Huge props to our coastal crew at Foster Lake for this amazing shoreline restoration project! They used silt socks and coir logs to trap sediment and slow erosion, while also creating a natural habitat for new plants to thrive.
Silt socks act like long, sock-shaped filters that catch runoff and prevent dirty water from reaching the shoreline. Coir logs, made from coconut fibers, are like mini barriers that help hold soil in place and control erosion.

Together, they give baby plants a fighting chance to establish themselves and rebuild a healthy shoreline!
