Stormwater Management

Life in the southeast means there are two things you can count on with respect to weather: we will have precipitation, and the temperature will change!

Our North Carolina branches are located on the leeward side of the Appalachian mountains, where passing jet-stream currents merge with gulf-stream-driven moisture. This combination produces significant precipitation events and with some parts of the region getting an annual rainfall average of nearly 50 inches. Looking south to our branches in South Carolina and North Florida—and their proximity to more coastline and tropical systems—makes big storms a regular occurrence.

It’s no surprise that stormwater management is an ongoing, key, concern for all our service areas across the Southeast.
