Employee Spotlight: Herman & Jonathan of Wake Forest, NC

We’re proud to shine a spotlight on two of our dedicated H-2B team members from our Wake Forest branch, Herman and Jonathan. They were kind enough to share about their experiences working for Bland Landscaping. Read the interview below with our Talent Acquisition Specialist, Reina Medina.

Reina: How would you describe the work culture and environment here, and how does it compare to what you expected before arriving?

Herman: When I first started 8 years ago, I was nervous about the language barrier. But my managers were super accommodating, attentive, and helpful. They made sure I felt supported every step of the way.

Jonathan: My friend Martin told me about Bland Landscaping and their H-2B program. I’ve been here for 5 years now. I was anxious because I didn’t have any landscaping experience, but I’ve found a great team and managers, and I’ve grown so much in this role.

Reina: What has been the most rewarding part of your experience working in the U.S. on the H-2B visa?

Herman: I love my team. I’ve been able to grow in leadership, got my driver’s license, and developed valuable landscaping skills that have helped me grow both professionally and personally.

Jonathan:Through my work here, I’ve been able to support my family back in Mexico. They’re able to go to school now, and I’ve been able to improve my life and their lives too.
