The 10th Annual Society of Lake Management Professionals Summit is right around the corner. This is an organization founded by lake and pond management leaders, specifically to support our growing industry.
Foster Lake & Pond Management has been a part of SLMP since it’s inception, and General Manager Mitchell Morton has been a board member for eight years. Mitchell notes:
I’ve implemented something I’ve learned at the summit every single year that has helped us be a better organization. I’ve also made friends and memories that will last a lifetime.

Hey everybody, Mitchell here with Foster Lake and Pond Management. I’m also a board member for the Society of Lake Management Professionals. Some of you may know it as SLMP.
Our annual summit for 2026 is only about 12 days away, and we want to invite everyone who’s not signed up to come down to Orlando and experience our 10th annual summit. We’ve got a great kickoff with Bob Luss as our speaker this year. We’re going to end the week with Bill Dance doing a livestream on his career in fisheries and taking some questions from the crowd. In between, we’ve got tons of great content.
The program can be found online at lakeprofessionals.org. You’ve got just a few days for the room block, the special race at the hotel. The program this year was specially designed to focus on emerging technologies and information that your managers and owners can use to better your companies. We also have a great breakout session on Wednesday where your technicians and folks who need more field experience can spend a whole afternoon learning from industry experts while owners have a specialized program geared strictly to them.
So, if you haven’t signed up, go to lakeprofessionals.org and sign up today. We’ll see you in Orlando!
