Life in the Carolinas means there are two things you can count on with respect to weather: we will have precipitation, and the temperature will change! The first of these is owed to the fact that we are ideally located on the leeward side of the Appalachian mountains, where passing jet-stream currents merge with gulf-stream-driven moisture, resulting in significant rainfall events and an annual rainfall average of almost 50 inches in some parts of the region. Throw in a tropical storm or a good nor’easter, and that number can be shattered, as we saw from hurricane Florence when she unloaded 24 inches in two days on parts of our service area. Ample rainfall, steady topographic relief from west to east, and a network of sounds, inlets, and barrier islands make stormwater management a key concern in the Carolinas.
Since 2006, our team has been certified by NCSU in the management and repair of permitted and inspected systems required under NPDES Phase 2 regulations, CAMA regulations, etc. We offer inspection, maintenance, and repair services for all of our contract landscape customers.
