We had a great time with the Horticulture I & II students at Apex High School today!
It was a special one for me because I got to bring along Victoria VanAuken from our design team as our guest speaker. Victoria shared her career path, from graduating from NC State to finding her footing in the industry. Then hosted a pretty lively round of Horticulture Jeopardy with the class.
It was a total full-circle moment for me. I first worked with Victoria back when she was a summer intern in our design program. Seeing her evolve from a talented intern into an established designer, now back in the classroom inspiring the next generation, is exactly why I love what I do.
Huge thanks to Sara at Apex High School for the invitation! It’s always a highlight to see that kind of energy in the classroom.
