Recapping Last Week’s BOMA Lunch Meeting & Rose Giveaway

At last week’s BOMA Raleigh-Durham lunch meeting, we had the privilege of honoring & recognizing two major milestones: Bland Landscaping Company’s 50th year in business, and BOMA Raleigh‑Durham’s 25th year as a chapter.

Our team presented our CEO, Kurt Bland, with a commemorative gift celebrating Bland Landscaping’s five decades of craftsmanship, partnership, and commitment to the communities we serve. Sharing this moment with the BOMA Raleigh-Durham chapter felt especially fitting. We have a 25-year supporting partnership that has played a defining role in the relationships we’ve built in the Research Triangle market.

And of course, our Valentine’s DIY rose bouquet station returned for its annual appearance—a growing tradition we love bringing to the chapter each February.

Fifty years strong. Twenty‑five years connected.

Kurt shares a few words on the event:

I love our annual rose bouquet giveaway at BOMA Raleigh-Durham’s February meeting!

What started as an off-the-cuff way to do something nice as a surprise one year has now turned into something we all enjoy, and look forward to doing, and others look forward to receiving. The smiles, handshakes, hugs, and conversations that come form this exchange are priceless and authentic as can be.

Authenticity in who we are defines both Bland Landscaping Company and Foster Lake & Pond Management and seeing our teams create experiential moments like these really brings me joy as a leader.

In addition to the flower giveaway, this year’s meeting was a little more special than previous years for me thanks to Tyner Tew’s surprise presentation of a commemorative shovel in honor of 50 years of Bland Landscaping Company, and 25 years as founding, allied members of BOMA Raleigh-Durham.

Well done Will Taylor, Christopher Povolny, Andrea Phillips, and David Hargrove!

Once again, I’m reminded of how fortunate I am to lead the best team of landscape professionals and aquatic professionals in the southeast.
